Biography
Mary studied English in the Honors Program at Brigham Young University on a full tuition scholarship. She finished her coursework within three years and spent her last year writing her Honors Thesis, a compilation of short stories which was published by the university press. In high school, Mary enjoyed courses such as AP Government and Politics, AP English, Honors Biology and AP Chemistry. She went on to take courses at Brigham Young in Political Science, Honors Physical Science, Honors Philosophy and Psychology.
Mary then went on to Pepperdine Law School where she became a member of Pepperdine’s Dispute Resolution Journal, and was recognized for her careful attention to detail in proof-reading articles. Mary helped in the early stages of forming a non-profit literacy program and spent much of her time in law school helping refugees from other countries apply for asylum within the United States. Mary loves tutoring students, as her enthusiasm for learning spills over to the students she teaches. Mary enjoys reading, writing, art and yoga.
